This was repeatedly recommended to me, so I finally read it. Very practical if you’re open to it. If anything, it may help refine your current processes. I tend to set goals that are too general and even though I know tracking is important, I often stop doing it. Here’s to making that a habit.
Chantel Akerman’s Jeanne Dielman, 23 quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles has been on my to-watch list for years. It’s not something I can recommend for everyone, but if you like slow European films, this is for you. It’s 3 1/2 hours long and you could either say nothing happens or the most important things happen. I didn’t think Akerman could pace anything more leisurely than her glorious Hotel Monterey, but she proved me wrong. She also proved that I will in fact watch Delphine Seyrig do anything: wash dishes, make coffee, burn potatoes, etc.
