Haunters of the Silence is a microbudget experimental horror film from Finnish writer-directors Tatu Heikkinen and Veleda Heikkinen, now living in the United States. The reported budget was around $2,000, a figure that makes most microbudget productions look lavish. Like many recent horror films, Haunters of the Silence explores grief. It has more in common, however, with the experimental shorts that surface in Lovecraft Film Festival collections than with the glossy genre offerings of A24 or Blumhouse. Here, a widower known only as K experiences night terrors while attempting to rebuild his life after the death of his wife….
